Description:
The Emergency Standby Services contract provides an additional
source beyond existing Statewide contracts, providing a myriad of
goods and services to State Agencies and Political Subdivisions
in declared state of emergencies. Contractors provide complete
response capabilities for emergency situations such as
hurricanes, earthquakes, tornadoes, man-made and natural
disasters. Capabilities include providing items such as water,
food, generators lighting, toilet facilities, living
accommodations, health facilities, and other emergency-related
items. They can also provide on-site response teams to perform a
wide range of emergency services.
Contracts for
Emergency Standby Services may be utilized only by or at the
direction of the State Emergency Management Office (SEMO). SEMO
may make purchases, or may direct other State agencies or local
governments to make purchases. Local governments, school
districts and others, authorized by law may only access this
contract with the prior approval of SEMO, and shall be solely
responsible for issuing valid purchase orders and
payment.
