This contract is established in order to
permit the State, local governments, school districts and others
authorized by law to respond immediately and effectively with needed
products and services in the event that an emergency is declared
by any political subdivision or the
Governor of the State of New York in accordance with the laws of the
State of New York (hereafter "declared emergency"). The
Office of General Services, acting pursuant to its authority under
New York State Finance Law ? 163 (3) and (4), has determined a
need for certain products and services to be immediately available
in the event of a declared emergency and hereby establishes
multiple, continuous recruitment, back-drop contracts in order to
insure those products and services are readily available.
Types of Equipment and
Supplies in the contracts include but are not limited to:
Automotive, Marine, Storage, Communications, Personal Protective,
Monitoring, Spill Control, and Environmental Sampling and Testing
Equipment, Hazardous Material Equipment and Supplies.
The Equipment and
Supplies in the contracts include but are not limited to: Pumps,
Skimmers, Chemicals, Sorbent Material, Generators, Fork Lifts, Light
Towers, Pumps, Portalet Units, Catering Services for LSA, Tents
(Large), Modular Building Offices, Shower Units, Portable
Heating/Air Conditioning Units, Quick Camps Emergency Housing,
Plastic Sheeting, Blankets and Cots, Food (Ready to Eat) and Bulk,
Water Products, Buildings Structures, Sandbag Filling Machine,
Emergency Flood and Water Control Equipment, Heavy Equipment and
Operators.
The Services in
the contracts include but are not limited to: Emergency Construction and
Services Contractors, Water Damage Recovery Services, Chemical/Biological
Training and Equipment, Counter/Terrorism Products and Training, Hazmat
Clean-up Services and Equipment and Manpower, Command and Control
Equipment and Personnel, Forest Fire Suppression Systems, Logistics and
Mobility Support Services, Hazardous Material and Emergency Personnel,
Electrical Assistance.
